Research shows that mental illness is now the leading cause of sick leave from work and costs the Australian economy billions per year in lost productivity.
With the help from an AFFIRM Award Dr Mark Deady (Research Fellow at the Black Dog Institute) is developing a smart phone application- based intervention titled Head Gear. This project is designed for young men making the transition from high school to the workplace where often they experience depression and anxiety.
